Mantle adventure in the lab

 In fact I was reading 1.5 amps on the outlet when I  realized that the stove was broken.
I read 114 volts at the two bolted poles with no amps when the left knob was closed.

 I dropped  some water while refilling the boiling flask a few times this year with 90°C  water while extracting lemon essential oil.

The mantel wire does not seem to be broken.

 The two wires on the left (a,b schematic)  seemed to have been attaches to the pole with no wires on the picture.

Should I replace or repair the mantel?

The left light is closed.
